The story got really loose and sloppy towards the middle Combined with the rather dull writing this was a total miss and a real snoozer Even though it was short it felt a lot longer I started out with the audiobook but there was a snafu and Part 2 of the file was the same as part 1 so I found an ebook of it on Openlibrary It really highlighted how lacking the writing was On audio the narrator Sean Barrett despite his jaw clenching monotone still managed to make it seem somewhat interesting Without that it fell apart

The Killing of Richard the Third1483 King Edward IV dies leaving two innocent young princes in line to the throne But when scandal and conspiracy explodes around their claim Richard of Gloucester is proclaimed king Shortly after the princes vanish. I don't like writing negative reviews but this book was truly awful I expected it to be aboutRichard III and the Princes in the tower because that's what it said on the blurb and it wasn't I feel totally misled and ripped off It just seemed to jump all over the place and there was no real storyline It loosely touched on Richard III and what was going on at the time but it was very weak and poorly done It has been compared to the Matthew Shardlake series by C J Sansom but I can see absolutely no comparison In my opinion it's just a ploy to try and give this book some credibility Truly disappointing
