READER ✓ DOC Disruption FREE ´ REFLECTIONSLISBURNLTD ´ What if a microchip could identify your perfect matchWhat if it could be used against you and the ones you loveEight years ago Mercer Corporation’s M Bands became mandatory An evolution of the smartphone the bracelets promised an easier life Instead they haveWhat if a microchip could identify your perfect matchWhat if it could be used against you and the ones you loveEight years ago Mercer Corporation’s M Bands became mandatory An evolution of the smartphone the bracelets promised an easier life Ins CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME THIS BOOK IS FOR A MOMENT Seriously I don't even need to review itjust go go GO read it and love it and then return and flail with me Because flailing is all I can do right now It has a wicked wicked cliff hanger ending I highly recommend having Corruption on hand Though I don't have it Not even now I'm just sobbing thinking about not having it when I freaking need it I'm in a bad way okaySo I started the book and I wasn't overly impressed The first 20% was a solid 3 star deal from me It seemed a bit typical kick butt girl with too much snark and buckets of personality to dislikeblah blah She's fighting the system in a one woman battle to find her father Whatever Then it slowly but surely heated up to be BURNING AWESOME To say I wasn't suspecting this to end up a 5 star read is an understatement I WAS NOT When uentin ambled into the scene things exploded I was laughing out loud OUT LOUD And also I listened to this on audio while I went for walksso I was this freak walking down the road laughing out loud NOT COOL But I don't even careThe characters are perfection Sure Maggie is unlikeable and snarky but she is perfectly so If you want a really good example of how to write a mean character and pull it off Here it is Maggie cares deeply and fiercelybut she doesn't give those feelings to a lot of people Basically they're just for her dad who went missing when she was 16 She's off to find him Gus Gus is brilliance Okay it's NOT a love triangle Gus and Maggie have this absolute hate relationship She's blackmailing him into working for her he's a computer hacker and they rip into each other with the meanest most funniest banter in the world Gus is so bitter Maggie just takes the mickey out of him always I love their relationship and how it turns into solid friendship AGAIN perfect example of how to make a boy girl friendship not romantic Omg I just need to drop to my knees and thank Jessica Shirvington for writing them like thisuentin is the actual love interest He is so sweet and adorable and djakfsdla I shipped him and Maggie so hard Although Maggie is lying and manipulating him the whole bookand she hates herself for it and I was freaked out I wanted them together SO BADLY I had to stop readinglistening because I couldn't bear for the breakup Was there a breakup It was very different to what I worried aboutbut I'll say no It's a dystopian sort of society The world hasn't been destroyed it's just using M Bands which monitor everything about you including who you're going to marry that are a super advanced technology that's supposed to improve your life Like your M Band is your carkeys your computer your phone your intelligence rating your pheromone rating This is NOT a typical dystopian book It's fresh and uniue and wickedly interesting I hate it when dystopians have ONE girl who sets forth to rescue the world Maggie sets out to rescue her fatherand accidentally discovers she wants to do than that But she's not perfect She's not infallible and I love the realistic ness of that Heck Maggie is practically the villain with so much of the shady things she does I REALLY LIKE MAGGIE AND UENTIN AND GUS Like I said the ending is wicked I can'tI needpleeeease someone bring me book #2 and don't even talk to me till the I'm sorry I doubted this book for so long and put it off OH But the only thing I was really annoyed about is that the book is set in America and the author is Australian I WISH WE HAD MORE AWESOME DYSTOPIAN AUSTRALIAN BOOKS IS ALL I really want that

Tead they have come to control it Two years ago Maggie Stevens watched helplessly as one of the people she loves most was taken from her shattering her world as she knew it Now Maggie is ready And uentin Mercer – heir to the M Corp empire – ha 45 StarsI love when a book can not only pleasantly surprise me with how much I enjoyed it but leave me hooked and begging for the second oneThis is my first Shirvington book and I can say with absolute certainty it will not be my last Not only do I want book two now but I can't wait to see what else she has written and to get my hands on them because I truly had that much fun with with DisruptionI have a thing for authors who can think outside the box and come up with something totally new and completely entertaining It doesn't always happen as much as one would like or even expect so when it goes I take notice Disruption is something different from the norm Not only imaginative and realistic feeling but believable in its complicated simplicity With great characters you will fall in love with a slow burning romance and secrets truths and twists around every corner this book will hook you after the first couple chapters and leave you eagerly turning the pages until the very last one An ARC copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review
