I really liked this book Sobel takes us day by day through Hurricane Sandy He relates what forecasters knew each day and what they predicted Interwoven into that narrative is information on the history of weather forecasting and information on climate change in general I found out 93% of global warming is being absorbed by the oceans Warmer oceans do not mean hurricanes The wobbling jet stream may not be caused by a reduction in the temperature differential between the arctic and the tropics This is a truly interesting book about extreme weather events
