I received this book for free from the Goodreads First reads program This is a beautifully written dystopian novel It tells the story of a girl named Adeline who lives in a world full of darkness A stranger called Shepherd with his lantern saves her from death We get to see the journey both physically and mentally of Adeline as she joins up with a group and makes the choice between flight or fight I was sad to see the story end Beautiful writing and thought provoking Thank you to the author Randal Licato for signing my book I look forward to reading your other literary pursuits

Identity Adeline has learned to survive by running away even from light Until she encounters the greatest light of them all LOV. I won this book in the Goodreads Giveaway I really loved the story line in this book and it was interesting to be able to see into Adelines thoughts as she went on her adventure I feel the book could have been fleshed out a bit More description of how the world became dark description of the characters But it flowed well and it moved very uickly I read it in an hour If you can get by the simplicity of the writing and all the grammar mistakes it is well worth reading just for the story line and the style of writing I honestly couldn't put it down until I finished it

Adeline By Randal LicaThe world has gone dark No sun and no moonNo one knows how it happened for sure But for thesurviving generations darkness is all. I want to say this book was very interesting but it was so much than that The story was beautifully written I honestly have not read any other book like this before though I'm sure there may be some I just haven't found them yetI was sad to see it end so uickly I wish we could have gotten to bond and know the characters a lot better The one thing that really threw me off was Shepherdview spoilerFor the love of Pete I didn't get a father vibe from him Haha I don't know if I accidentally missed something or not but I honestly thought him and Adeline would end up lovers That is why my mouth DROPPED when I learned he was her father Total didn't see that coming moment hide spoiler
