PDF á BOOK An Amish Holiday Family Ë JO ANN BROWN Ë A Christmas she never expectedBecoming a guardian to three childrenwasn’t part of her planWhen Mennonite midwife Beth Ann Overholt went to Evergreen Corners to help rebuild after a flood she didn’t expect to be taking in three abandoned children But the bigger surpVeFrom Harleuin Love Inspired Uplifting stories of faith forgiveness and hopeGreen Mountain BlessingsBook 1 An Amish Christmas PromiseBook 2 An Amish Easter WishBook 3 An Amish Mother’s Secret PastBook 4 An Amish Holiday Fami An Amish Holiday Family is a truly inspiring story written by Jo Ann Brown The characters are very likeable and realistic The storyline is one that could be taking place in any city This story takes the reader back to Evergreen Corners and the continuing rebuilding of the little town after two hurricanes practically wiped it off the map Many previous characters are brought into the story from the previous stories Bet Ann Overholt has arrived in Evergreen Corners to help rebuild She is a Mennonite midwife but not licensed in this state so she jumps into helping with the rebuilding of the houses as a painter When Beth Ann stumbles upon a young man reuesting money from her she convinces him to go to the community center to eat This is where the story takes a dramatic turn and she discovers that Dougie has a younger sister and brother living by themselves in a condemned home Their mother has been placed in rehab and their aunt has run off to Las Vegas This starts a journey for Beth Ann and her Amish friend Robert that will truly tug at your heartstrings Through all of this there is a mystery of groceries appearing at Beth Ann's door and a mystery as to who is stealing tools from the worksite When you discover the answers to these mysteries many things are revealed The conclusion is not only a shocker but also heartwarmingI was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful holiday story that I can highly recommend to othersCongratulations to Jo Ann Brown for writing such a heartbreaking and heartwarming story all in one I know this is a story everyone will enjoy

There are also so great smiles and a few laughs with these lovable young onesCan two broken individuals form a permanent relationship? Will these poor children end up with stable lives? The answers are coming and you will be uickly page turning for answersI received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Harleuin and was not reuired to give a positive review

An Amish Holiday Family Green Mountain Blessings #4 A Christmas she never expectedBecoming a guardian to three childrenwasn’t part of her planWhen Mennonite midwife Beth Ann Overholt went to Evergreen Corners to help rebuild after a flood she didn’t expect to be taking in th An Amish Holiday Family by Jo Ann Brown is the fourth installment in the Green Mountain Blessings series Each book can be read as a standalone but they are a pleasure to read as a whole I thought An Amish Holiday Family was well written with developed realistic characters Beth Ann Overholt is a remarkable woman She is at a crossroads in her life Beth Ann had been a midwife helping Amish women deliver their babies under the care of a physician Circumstances have left her without a job and then her grandmother passed Beth Ann was raised by her grandmother and feels the loss heavily She is in Evergreen Corners to help with the reconstruction which is in the final phase Robert Yoder came to town to visit the sister he has not seen in twenty years She escaped their abusive father as soon as she was able and never returned Robert is carrying a heavy burden and it is not something he wishes to share He does though want to find a way to rebuild the damaged covered bridge Then comes along three children who need Beth Ann and Robert’s help They are living in sualid conditions without adult supervision Douglas Crystal and Tommy Henderson were delightful especially little Tommy They provided humor in the story There are some sections though that are sad have your tissues handy We get to see if Beth Ann and Robert can come together to help these three children With a little help from God and the good people of Evergreen Corners there might be a Christmas miracle There is a mystery in the story as well Tools and decorative items are disappearing from the job sites The individual is sneaky and manages to disappear uickly I liked that the characters from the previous three books are in An Amish Holiday Family We get to see what is happening in their lives I like that Evergreen Corners is a close knit community I can see why people who are visiting chose to stay I loved the epilogue that wrapped up the story beautifully An Amish Holiday Family is an emotional novel with a covered bridge conundrum a tricky thief a grocery gift giver a surplus of laundry and holiday happenings
